Report that a company has used your personal details without your permission

Use this form to tell Companies House that a company has used your name or address (or both) without your permission.

You'll need to tell us the name and company number of the company that has used your details. You can find the company number on the Companies House register (opens in new tab).

If you're reporting that your address has been used

You'll need to tell us when you started using the address. If you don't know the exact date, you can enter an approximate date.

You'll also need to upload evidence that you have the rights to the address. You only need to provide one document. This can include:

  • a utility bill dated within the last 6 months
  • a council tax bill dated within the last 12 months
  • a land registry deed dated within the last 12 months
  • a written agreement allowing you to use this address
  • documents showing your rights to this address, such as a leasehold or freehold

We will not ask for evidence if you are only reporting that your name has been used.

After you've submitted the form

We may contact you for more information, or to request evidence to support your case.

Once we’ve processed all the relevant information, we’ll email to let you know if we can remove your details from the Companies House register.

This is the name of the person whose details have been used without their permission.
