Introduction

What is the Electronic Reporting System?

The Electronic Reporting System (ERS) is an online portal.

It can be used to view vessel data and submit sales notes of first-sale fish if you are a registered buyer or seller.

'First-sale fish' refers to fish from a United Kingdom fishing vessel which is offered for sale for the first time. This includes undersize fish.

By completing this form indicating you want to view vessel data, you will be set up as a Vessel Administrator.

A Vessel Administrator can see the vessel’s logbooks, sales notes and data.

An Administrator has the ability to add delegated persons to view the logbooks, create landing declarations and also if required to view any relevant sales notes for your vessel.

By completing this form indicating you want to submit sales notes, you will be set up as a Company Administrator.

A Company Administrator can enter sales notes on behalf of the company and view previously submitted sales notes for that organisation.

A Company Administrator has the ability to grant access to other people, either as an administrator, who can view and enter sales notes, or as a member, who can view sales notes.

It is your responsibility to ensure the users understand the access they have and their responsibilities, and to maintain these accounts, reviewing access and revoking/adding where required.

To register as a buyer of first-sale fish, please complete an RBS1 form Introduction - Apply to register as a buyer of first-sale fish and shellfish in the UK (RBS1) – GOV.UK (opens in new tab)
