Armed forces and reserve forces pension schemes (AFPS)

Members of the armed forces and reserve forces pension schemes can get a free forecast of their deferred benefits every 12 months.

Use this form to request a forecast if you’ve left the armed forces but do not yet receive your pension.

Other ways to get a forecast

Current members of the armed forces should apply for a pension forecast on Defnet.

If you already receive your armed forces pension, contact Equiniti Paymaster for a forecast (opens in new tab).

If you need a pension valuation for divorce proceedings, use the divorce or dissolution request form (AFPS 19) (opens in new tab).

Check if you need to pay

You can get a free pension forecast every 12 months. Additional requests for forecasts cost £90 (£75 plus VAT). Details of how to pay are at the end of the form.

If you were affected by the 2015 pension remedy

Your forecast will include your legacy scheme benefits, so may be different to forecasts you've received in the past. Use your remediable service statement (RSS) if you need to compare benefits. Read more about the 2015 pension remedy (opens in new tab)

Applying on behalf of someone else

You can only get a forecast of someone else's pension if you have the legal authority to act on their behalf. For example, if you have lasting power of attorney or are an appointee.
