Decide if you want to give your name and contact details

You can choose whether or not to give your name and contact details.

Giving your name and contact details

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will be able to contact you for more information about what happened if you give your name and contact details.

This can help them to investigate the problem you had.

DVSA will not share your details with anyone else unless you give permission. You’ll be asked if you give your permission for this later.

Not giving your name and contact details

Your report will still be investigated if you do not give your name and contact details.

However, it might make it harder to investigate and take action against the company.

Even if you do not give your details, it might be possible for the driver or company to work out that you reported the problem.

Example

You use a wheelchair and you report a problem with the wheelchair space. You use that bus service at the same time each evening. The driver would likely be able to work out that you reported it.
