This call for evidence is the initial phase of building capability for the Seventh UK National Action Plan for Open Government (NAP7). You can find more information about the overall process through the NAP7 participation guidance (opens in new tab) and call for evidence information (opens in new tab). It will assess the potential for government, civil society and other stakeholders to co-create commitments to improve transparency, accountability and participation in government.
We invite individual members of the public, civil society organisations and other bodies to provide ideas on areas of potential focus. As the ideas that are submitted will primarily be used to assess the potential for co-creation rather than developing individual policies, short submissions are encouraged. If an idea for a commitment proceeds to co-creation following the call for evidence, there may be opportunities to provide more detailed input at a later date.
We may share, analyse and include your ideas in the outcome from the call for evidence. We may share your ideas with relevant teams across the UK government, Devolved Governments and local government, where appropriate. We may also share your ideas with the UK Open Government Civil Society Network (UK OGN) (opens in new tab) and the Open Government Partnership (OGP) (opens in new tab)
We will contact you directly if we would like to share your personal details with another team in government. We will only share your personal details with the UK OGN if you give us permission to do so. We will not share your personal details with OGP.
