How to complete this form

Eligibility

Only complete this form to notify us if you're making 20 or more people redundant in an establishment on one form.

You do not need to notify us if you're making less than 20 people redundant.

An establishment is the site where an employee is assigned to work.

If you operate from more than one site, each site is treated separately for notification and consultation purposes.

If, however, your organisation considers separate sites to be one establishment for the purpose of management and collective consultation purposes, we can register your HR1 form using multiple site addresses.

In this case, provide one of the site addresses on the form and upload all other affected site addresses via attachment(s) at the end of the form.

What you need to know before starting

This form has 8 parts and takes on average 40 minutes.

The form will not save your information until you submit it at the end. If you close or leave the page for longer than 90 mins, you'll need to start again.

Before submitting, make sure you save/print the final summary page. We only send an email confirming receipt of your form (not a copy of the answers provided).

• timing and location of redundancies
• expected number of redundancies
• reasons for redundancies
• trade union and/or employee representative(s) details
